Edible Wedding Favors

A favorite at many wedding receptions edible wedding favors will always please the vast majority of guests. Sweet or savory are the only decision you will really have to make and of course how much you intend to spend. You can make this really elaborate if you wish but generally a plain bar of candy that comes with a commemorative wrapper is a good idea. As there are so many types of candy bar it might be an idea to buy a selection so that guests can swap if they prefer something else. A particularly loving touch is for there to be a message from the couple on the candy wrapper in addition to the wedding details.

If you are going as far as personalizing the wrapper, then why not have your picture printed on the wrapper to really impress your guests! Why not have a tin filled with different types of candy as your edible wedding favor to your guests. There is also typically the option of personalizing the tin by including the wedding date and the name of the bride and the groom. The guests may eat the candy soon after the wedding but they can keep the candy tin as a reminder of your wedding; they can use it to store other small items such as change, sewing needles, rubber bands or virtually anything which is small enough to be stored in them. Most people will tuck into an edible wedding favor even if they do not normally eat candy because the occasion makes them more susceptible.

People that cannot make up their minds how to present the candy should consider placing it decorative bowl in the center of the table. You can also leave a small presentation box with details of the wedding, and one that can even match the wedding theme if there is one. This way each guest can put whatever candies they like in the container and take it home when they leave the reception. A good alternative to candy as an edible wedding favor is cookies which most people enjoy. Undecorated cookies are best because they are supposed to go inside a decorated box which can have the wedding day details printed on it.

These days it is easy to insert images onto anything and a cookie isn't any more difficult than a wrapper. There are many bakeries that can make these cookies for you in a variety of sizes and shapes; you just simply need to select a design and give the bakery a photo to use in the design process. For something a little out of the ordinary why not try the unusual edible wedding favors of cocoa, coffee or tea. Tea, coffee and cocoa are very popular with many people and there a huge range to choose from these days so you would not have just stick with the most popular available. Putting the couple's names as well as the wedding date on the package is a good idea as well as including a picture of the couple. These are just a few gift ideas for your guests, I'm sure you can think of more if these do not interest you.
