Things To Ponder When You Plan A Destination Wedding
Planning a destination wedding is only limited by your imagination. Your dream wedding may consist of reciting your vows on a tropical Caribbean beach or in a small wedding chapel in Bahamas. Maybe a Buddhist themed ceremony in Thailand or a ski chalet in Switzerland would be your ideal wedding setting.
While deciding on the location for your destination wedding you need to find out if a wedding ceremony held at your destination would be legal in your home country. If not, or if you don’t want to take any chances, you should have a civil ceremony at home before departing for your destination wedding.
Each county has it’s own laws and regulations regarding weddings. Some will require that you only marry inside a church or chapel while others will allow weddings almost anywhere.
Planning a destination wedding is more difficult in some countries. And depending on the size of your wedding, you are well advised to seek the help of a wedding coordinator or travel agent that is experienced in planning a destination wedding in your chosen destination.

Make sure that you select your destination wedding dress and the bridesmaids’ dresses early on. That way you and your bridesmaids will have plenty of time to have them tailored if necessary. Also, many brides will choose the décor to match their dress. So if you like this idea, you may want to place buying a wedding dress at the top of your “to do” list.
Destination wedding invitations are important to get early on also. That way you have time to send them back to the printers if any mistakes have been made. Also you will find that it takes a considerably long time to address all the envelopes.
